A rag picker near Bengaluru’s Nagawara railway station discovered a bag containing 23 bundles of US dollars valued at $3 million in a mound of trash. The packages were discovered last Friday by Saleman SK, a rubbish collector from West Bengal’s Nadia area, according to The Indian Express. According to reports, he stated to the police that he found 23 bundles of US dollars, but he felt ill due to a chemical stink.
Administrators Warned
After learning about this strange finding, Bappa called social activist Kali Mullah, who immediately got in touch with Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda. The article further stated that the Hebbal Police station has been given the task of looking into the situation, and the Commissioner quickly called the parties involved.
The money notes are purportedly contaminated with a chemical substance, which has led the authorities to question a possible connection to the infamous Black Dollar Scam. The Reserve Bank of India has been tasked with reviewing the notes in order to ascertain their legitimacy. We expect more developments in this fascinating case.
However, according to a story published in The New Indian Express today, ragpicker was kidnapped late on Tuesday by three miscreants who wanted money from him. After then, Kaleemullah was informed by the ragpicker that the accused had reportedly looked around the Saleman’s home for the money.
However, according to Kaleemullah, they blindfolded him and kidnapped him to an undisclosed flat when they couldn’t find the money. According to TNIE, Kaleemullah said, “The accused freed Bappa near Manyata Tech Park around 9:30 AM on Wednesday after checking his phone.”
