Assam Police Nab Two Suspects, Uncover Drugs Valued at ₹7.25 Crore

According to a senior official, the Assam Police’s Special Task Force (STF) detained two suspected drug dealers on Thursday night and took 29,000 Yaba pills worth ₹ 7.25 crore from them.

DIG (STF) Partha Sarathi Mahanta informed ANI that an STF team conducted an operation in the Katahbari area under the Gorchuk police station in Guwahati based on confidential information.

“During the operation, in the Katahbari area under the Gorchuk police station in Guwahati city, we recovered and seized 29,000 Yaba tablets.” We took two people into custody from the peddlers’ rented home,” he said. According to the Barpeta police station, the two people who were taken into custody were Saiful Islam of Bhella and Mujakkir Hussain of Katahbari.
