Doctors are respected a lot by common people because they not only help us in getting rid of our medical problems but there are times when they also save lives.
However, there are instances when some doctors have ashamed the whole doctor community and one such incident took place in the southern Chinese city of Guigang, China where a doctor hit a 82 years old patient on her head while operating her.
As per the reports, a video is going viral on the Chinese video platform in which a doctor is seen hitting the patient. The hospital spokesperson told the media that though the patient was under anesthesia for the surgery purpose, she wasn’t able to bear it. The spokesperson further said that she kept moving her head and eyeballs despite the fact that the surgeon was asking her to stop as she was not able to understand what the doctor said as she didn’t understand Mandarin.
The patient has got bruises on her forehead and the patient’s son revealed that his mother has lost vision in her left eye. The hospital management has apologized and also paid 500 yuan (₹5,800 approx.) as compensation.
Meanwhile the CEO of the hospital and the surgeon have been suspended by the authorities.
This is certainly shameful and unacceptable.
