The 5-match test series between India and England is levelled at 1-1 and the visitors will certainly like to get back to winning ways as they started the series with a win in the first test match.
There is a news which can make the English cricket team a little happy. As per the reports, the Indian cricketer Virat Kohli who hasn’t played the first two test matches due to personal reasons may also miss the third and fourth test matches which will be played at Rajkot and Ranchi, respectively. There are also rumours that Virat Kohli may miss the last and the fifth test match of the series as well which will be played at Dharamshala.
The former England cricketer, Nasser Hussain supported the Indian cricketer as he feels that family and private life should be top priority but he also stated that it will be a big blow for team India. Nasser Hussain stated, “Kohli and his family and his private life have to come first, so it’s a blow for India, but as we’ve seen, they’ve got a lot of very good young batters.”
Hussain talks about KL Rahul as he said, “But KL Rahul, who was injured for the last game, played brilliantly in the last few months for India and in all formats. I think he’ll come back in, so he’ll add to their batting.”
Talking about Virat Kohli’s absence, Nasser Hussain said, “It will be a blow for India, blow for the series, blow for World Cricket. It’s gonna be a special series, already has been the first two games have been fascinating, and make no mistake, Virat Kohli is one of the greatest batters to ever play the game and any series, and any side would miss someone of that stature. ”
What do you think? Will Virat Kohli’s absence affect the Indian cricket team’s performance in the series?
