ISRO Announces February 17 Launch Date for GSLV-F14 with INSAT-3DS

On February 17, as part of the GSLV-F14 mission, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is scheduled to launch the INSAT-3DS satellite. According to a mission update from ISRO on February 8, the satellite will launch on February 17 at 5:30 p.m. IST from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. This will be the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) of ISRO’s 16th mission.

The satellite was delivered to Satish Dhawan Space Centre on January 25, 2024.

A satellite for weather and catastrophe alerts is called INSAT-3DS. The services offered by the current in-orbit INSAT-3D and INSAT-3DR satellites will be continued thanks to this newest INSAT (Indian National Satellite).

Additionally, INSAT-3DS will make it possible to expand the INSAT system’s capabilities.
