Four candidates have been announced by the Trinamool Congress for the 2018 Rajya Sabha elections.
The TMC leaders Sushmita Dev, Mamata Bala Thakur, Mohammed Nadimal Haque, and journalist Sagarika Ghose have been announced as the party’s candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections, according to a post on X by Mamata Banerjee’s leadership.
“We extend our heartfelt wishes to them and may they work towards upholding Trinamool’s enduring legacy of indomitable spirit and advocacy for the rights of every Indian,” the party stated in its statement.
On February 27, elections will be held for a maximum of 56 Rajya Sabha seats spread across 15 states.
