PM Modi Starts Work on AIIMS, Introduces Rs 9,770 Crore Projects in Haryana

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) was dedicated here on Friday, with the foundation stone being placed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In addition, he made significant contributions to the country by laying the groundwork for several development projects totaling over Rs 9,770 crore in the areas of rail, tourism, health, and urban transportation.

The 203 acres of land in Majra Bhalkhi village will be used to construct the AIIMS-Rewari, which is expected to cost around Rs 1,650 crore. The AIIMS-Rewari will feature a 720-bed hospital complex, a 100-seat medical college, 60-seat nursing college, a 30-bed AYUSH block, residential housing for faculty and staff, post-graduate and undergraduate student hostels, a night shelter, a guesthouse, and more.

The Prime Minister addressed the assembly, saying, “Today, the whole nation is witnessing Ramlala seated in the magnificent Ram temple. The country requested that a grand Ram temple should be erected in Ayodhya. The Congressmen have also begun shouting Jai Siya Ram. Previously believing that Lord Ram was a myth, they had never supported the construction of a Ram temple.”

The AIIMS-Rewari was founded under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) to offer the people of Haryana comprehensive, high-quality, and all-encompassing tertiary-care health services. In addition to AIIMS-Rewari, Modi also lay the cornerstone for the around Rs 5,450 crore Gurugram Metro Rail project.

The project, which has a total length of 28.5 km, would link Udyog Vihar Phase-5 to Millennium City Centre and join into the current Rapid Metro Rail Gurugram metro network at Moulsari Avenue station, which is close to Cyber City. The project is a critical step in achieving the prime minister’s goal of giving the public access to top-notch, environmentally friendly mass fast urban transit systems. Additionally, Modi opened the recently constructed Anubhav Kendra at Jyotisar, Kurukshetra. The approximate cost of construction for this interactive museum was 240 crore.

The museum’s internal space is more than 100,000 square feet, spread across more than 17 acres. It will vividly bring the Gita’s lessons and the epic story of the Mahabharata to life. Additionally, the museum uses state-of-the-art technology to enhance visitor experiences, such as projection mapping, 3D laser, and augmented reality (AR). The holy place of Jyotisar, Kurukshetra, is where Lord Krishna gave Arjuna the timeless knowledge of the Bhagavad Gita.
