Users worldwide had problems accessing Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Threads. Meta Quest users experienced headset login troubles, and YouTube users reported error messages. It took around an hour for all applications to resume regular operation.
Users also reported “failure to load” error pages on Facebook and Instagram. The problem didn’t prevent some Instagram users from viewing their stories.
Many Facebook users were automatically locked out during the downtime.
Users worldwide posted about their difficulties using X, formerly Twitter, during the outage. X owner Elon Musk mocked Meta at the moment.
