Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor were one of the most loved couples of Bollywood, both were from the acting profession and they got married after dating each other for some time.
While Neetu was one of the most successful actresses of the 70s, she quit acting after getting married to Rishi Kapoor in 1980. Their married life also had ups and downs and there were times when they used to fight a lot just like other couples but the only difference was that people used to talk about their fights as they were celebs and a lot has been written in magazines in this regard to those days.
More than 10 years back, while promoting his movie Rockstar, Rishi and Neetu’s son Ranbir Kapoor was asked a question about the fights that took place between his parents and he said, “See, at that time, press didn’t matter, because I was also in the fire zone. I live with my parents. Seeing them going through that phase, I was very much part of it. I was right there.”/
He further added, “I live in a bungalow; my parents live downstairs, I live on the floor above. I remember sitting on the staircases for four-four hours, from 1 am to 5 am, hearing them fight, break things… Everyone goes through it, it’s just that my parents were celebrities, it was out there in the press. It was a little embarrassing in school. Your friends don’t mention it, because they’re good friends, but somewhere there was a sense of, ‘I know what’s happening’. But you deal with it.”
Rishi Kapoor is no more in this world as he passed away in April 2020 after fighting a long battle against cancer.
