Kangana Ranaut Reacts To Shocking Sexual Assault Allegations In Malayalam Industry

The Malayalam film industry is currently facing intense scrutiny following a series of sexual assault allegations that have shocked and concerned the nation. These allegations came to light after the Justice Hema Committee report was made public. Recently, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut voiced her opinion on the issue, accusing the industry of concealing these allegations for the past six years.

Kangana recalled her earlier statements against the objectification and mistreatment of women in cinema, which she had raised a decade ago on Aamir Khan’s show, Satyamev Jayate. She pointed out that sexist cinema, which promotes violence against women, continues to thrive. “Regarding the Kerala report, I have been vocal about this for a long time, but where did it lead? It went nowhere,” she remarked during an interview that she gave recently.

Kangana also expressed disappointment with women who endorse item numbers, stating, “I am disappointed in women who do not promote other women’s work. There are women who ask me why I am fighting. But whom am I fighting for? I have only lost opportunities.”

Kangana is currently gearing up for the release of her next movie, Emergency which will release on 6 September.
