Early this morning, actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was rushed to CritiCare Hospital, Mumbai after accidentally shooting himself in the leg. The incident occurred at around 4:45 AM, while Govinda was reportedly inspecting his licensed revolver before preparing to leave for a flight to Kolkata.
Initial reports suggest that the bullet struck his knee, leading to immediate medical attention. Govinda was admitted to the hospital at approximately 5:15 AM and is now out of danger, according to hospital sources.
Police have arrived at the scene, confiscated the revolver, and are currently investigating the case. Govinda’s family has yet to issue an official statement regarding the situation.
Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, provided an update on the actor’s health, stating, “Govinda was preparing to leave for Kolkata when his revolver accidentally fell from his hand, causing it to misfire and strike his leg. The doctor has successfully removed the bullet, and his condition is stable.”
