Renowned actor Rajinikanth, 73, has been admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai after experiencing stomach pain. The actor, who recently starred in the blockbuster Jailer, is reported to be in stable condition. According to hospital sources, Rajinikanth was taken in on Monday night and will undergo an elective procedure under interventional cardiologist Dr. Sai Satish on Tuesday.
The procedure is expected to take place in the hospital’s cardiac cath lab. Fans and well-wishers are anxiously awaiting further updates on the actor’s health.
Rajinikanth, affectionately known as “Thalaivar,” has had an illustrious career in Indian cinema spanning more than four decades. Some of his most notable films include Sivaji, Baasha, Enthiran (Robot), Petta, Kaala, Darbar, Kabali, and the recent hit Jailer, which was released on August 9, 2023. Jailer became one of the highest-grossing films of the year, reaffirming Rajinikanth’s legendary status in the industry.
