Instagram has unveiled a new way for creators to monetize their content—Testimonials and Partnership Ads. This latest feature allows creators to collaborate with brands by writing short endorsements for products or campaigns. These endorsements can appear as text-only comments or be included in video ads on the creator’s Instagram profile.

What Are Instagram Testimonials?

Meta announced this new ad format in a blog post, describing Testimonials as a quick and easy way for creators to earn money. With this feature, influencers can write short, text-only endorsements (up to 125 characters) about a brand’s product or campaign. These testimonials are then displayed as paid endorsements with a Sponsored tag on the post.

Why Is Instagram Introducing This Feature?

According to Meta, 40% of Instagram users consider creator recommendations before making a purchase. By enabling creators to provide testimonials, Instagram is not only enhancing the influencer marketing ecosystem but also giving creators more opportunities to increase their earnings.

Moreover, creators can potentially charge higher fees for these endorsements, as they will be featured in partnership ads. However, one limitation is that only the brand’s account will have access to the ad’s performance metrics, meaning creators must request data from brands to assess their impact.

More New Features from Instagram

Alongside the Testimonials feature, Instagram has introduced several updates to improve user experience:

  • Scheduled Messages in DMs – Users can now schedule messages in direct chats.
  • Music Previews in Chats – Share snippets of songs directly within private conversations.
  • In-Chat Message Translation – Translate messages into multiple languages without leaving the chat.
  • Pinned Chats – Pin your most important conversations for easy access.
  • QR Code Group Invites – Instead of adding people manually, users can create a QR code for a group chat. Others can scan the code to join instantly.

Instagram continues to expand its features, making the platform more interactive and rewarding for creators. With Testimonials, influencers now have another tool to boost their earnings and strengthen brand partnerships.
