Urvashi Rautela has been making headlines for her latest film, Daaku Maharaaj, alongside Nandamuri Balakrishna. Reports suggest that the actress charged a staggering Rs 9.2 crore for the film, surpassing Alia Bhatt’s rumored fee of Rs 9 crore for SS Rajamouli’s RRR. This revelation has taken fans by surprise, further adding to the film’s buzz.
Recently, speculation arose that Urvashi’s scenes were cut from the Netflix version of Daaku Maharaaj. The rumors gained momentum when she was removed from the film’s poster before its OTT release. Many fans assumed that her sequences, including the popular Dabidi Dabidi song, had been eliminated. However, News18 Showsha confirmed that her portions in the OTT version remain the same as in the theatrical release.
Daaku Maharaaj features Nandamuri Balakrishna, popularly known as Balayya, portraying an officer who fights against injustice alongside his wife. The narrative follows his transformation into a fearless bandit, battling a powerful and oppressive family to deliver justice. Released during the Sankranti festival, the film amassed an impressive Rs 104 crore at the Indian box office. It also features Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, Rishi, Chandini Chowdary, and Pradeep Rawat in pivotal roles. Directed by Bobby Kolli, the film’s music is composed by Thaman, with cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing by Ruben and Niranjan Devaramane.
Meanwhile, Urvashi Rautela is busy with multiple upcoming projects. She is set to appear in Indian 2 alongside Kamal Haasan and Shankar, Kasoor 2 with Aftab Shivdasani, and a film with Jassie Gill. Additionally, she will be seen in Welcome 3 with Akshay Kumar and Inspector Avinash 2 alongside Randeep Hooda. Expanding her horizons, she will feature in an international music video with Jason Derulo and is also set to portray the iconic Parveen Babi in an upcoming biopic.
