Virat Kohli Injured Ahead Of Champions Trophy 2025 Finals Against New Zealand But….

Virat Kohli endured an injury scare during a practice session ahead of the much-anticipated Champions Trophy final against New Zealand, scheduled for Sunday, March 9, in Dubai. According to a report, the ace Indian batter was struck near his knee while facing a pacer in the nets, forcing him to halt his training session.

The Indian physio staff promptly attended to Kohli, applying a spray and wrapping the affected area with a bandage. Despite experiencing slight discomfort, he remained on the field, closely observing the remainder of the practice session. His presence reassured both his teammates and the support staff regarding his condition.

Later, the Indian coaching staff confirmed that the injury was not serious and that Virat Kohli would be fit to take the field for the final.

India faces a daunting challenge against a resilient New Zealand side, which has historically held the upper hand in ICC tournaments with a 10-6 record. In knockout matches, the Kiwis lead 3-1, making it a recurring challenge for India to overcome.
