Mona Singh, a prominent figure across television, film, and digital platforms, has consistently captivated audiences with memorable performances since her 2003 debut in the popular TV series Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin. In a recent interview, the actress shared insights into her career journey, highlighting the most challenging role she’s undertaken to date.

Surprisingly, the role that tested her the most was in Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s film, Laal Singh Chaddha, where she portrayed Aamir’s mother, Gurpreet Kaur Chaddha.

Speaking with a leading publication, Mona explained the rigorous demands of the part: “Every role comes with its own set of challenges, but one that stands out for me was when I had to completely transform my lifestyle for Laal Singh Chaddha.

I had to be thin in the first half of the movie and had to put on a little in the middle portion, portraying a woman in her mid-40s. Towards the end, I had to lose all that weight and look fragile. It was very challenging for me because I had to put on and lose weight in stages.”

She also cited her role as Bulbul Johri in the series Made in Heaven as another significant challenge, for which she had to gain weight.
