There are some moments when style feels less like fashion and more like a quiet expression of who a person is. At the Global Peace Honours 2025 in Mumbai, Nita Ambani created one such moment. Surrounded by an evening dedicated to compassion and goodwill, she arrived in an ivory ensemble that stood out not for its grandeur but for its calm, composed beauty.
The event, hosted by the Divyaj Foundation and Amruta Fadnavis, saw the Ambani women—Nita Ambani, Shloka Mehta and Radhika Merchant appear in coordinated shades of ivory. Yet it was Nita Ambani who captured the essence of the palette most effortlessly through her custom Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla saree. Known for bringing traditional Indian artistry into the present day, the designers crafted her look in a soft off-white georgette that moved gently with every step.
The saree was embroidered with delicate resham zardozi phulwari motifs that created a subtle floral pattern across the fabric. To balance this softness, it featured a geometric chevron border lined with tiny pearls, an elegant frame that turned the drape into something undeniably couture. Her blouse carried the same craftsmanship, with fine zardozi floral work, sequin accents, a simple round neckline, a cropped hem, and half sleeves that added structure while keeping the look refined.
Nita Ambani completed her appearance with accessories that felt timeless and personal. Diamond-studded jhumkis, layered pearl necklaces, and traditional kadhas brought a regal warmth to the ivory tones. She held a matching ivory potli, adding a classic touch to the ensemble.
Her makeup stayed true to her preference for grace over drama—a soft, glossy pink lip, lightly blushed cheeks, kohl-lined eyes, and a messy bun wrapped with fresh gajra. A small red bindi tied the entire look together. The result was a style statement defined not by extravagance, but by quiet confidence and an appreciation for artistry that shines without trying to impress.
