Sanjay Dutt’s life has always been eventful, often resembling the dramatic plots of Bollywood films. But few could imagine a real-life twist where the actor became the surprise heir to a staggering fortune—only to give it all away.
In a story that sounds straight out of a movie, Dutt revealed that a devoted fan once left him property worth an astounding ₹72 crore. The most unexpected part? He returned every bit of it.
The Unbelievable Inheritance
In a recent interview with Curly Tales, Sanjay was asked about the widely reported 2018 incident involving Nisha Patil, a terminally ill fan who had willed her entire estate to him. Dutt simply replied, “I gave it back to her family,” modestly confirming the heartwarming gesture.
The fan, a 62-year-old housewife from Mumbai, had allegedly instructed her bank to transfer her assets to Dutt after her death. At the time, the news attracted massive media attention due to the emotional and financial magnitude of the gesture. Now, years later, Sanjay’s quiet decision to return the inheritance is being praised as a rare act of humility and integrity.
