The seriousness of the matter can be understood by the fact that even the Indian Prime Minister talked about it and asked the media to educate people and increase awareness about its misuse.
While speaking at the “Diwali Milan” event which was organized by Bharatiya Janta Party at their party headquarters in New Delhi, PM Modi revealed that recently he saw a video in which he was singing at a Garba festival, something which he hasn’t done since his school days. PM Modi stated, “A new crisis is emerging due to deepfake produced through artificial intelligence. There is a very big section of society which does not have a parallel verification system.”
Deepfake videos can create big problems for individuals, especially women, so it is absolutely necessary that we should not believe what we see and we should first verify the authenticity of the video.
Hopefully police will take strict action against all those who are making deepfake videos of actresses and it will be a lesson for others as well.
