A Theatre In Mauritius Receives Bomb Threat Over Screening Of The Kerala Story

Adah Sharma’s The Kerala Story puts a theatre in Mauritius in trouble. Sudipto Sen directed and Adah Sharma starrer The Kerala Story is going pretty strong on the box-office as it has crossed the Rs. 200 crore mark in 3 weeks and the shows are still going housefull.

However, the film which is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah attracted a lot of controversies as well and many political parties demanded a ban on the flick as it shows three non-Muslim girls getting brainwashed and converted to Islam. After that, those three girls are trapped in love angle by Muslim guys and after marriage, they are sent to work for a terror outfit, ISIS.

As the movie has a good number of haters, a theatre chain in Mauritius has received bomb threats if the movie is shown in the theatre. The owner of the theatre has sent the letter of threat to the producer as an attachment and it reads,

“Sir / Madam: Mcine will be destroyed tomorrow as we are planting some bombs in your bloody cinema, you want to see cinema, oK tomorrow you will see a very good cinema. Mark our words, Tomorrow Friday. Planting Bombs for The Kerala Story in Mcine”.

As per the makers, the movie is based on real events and it is happening in Kerala on a huge basis. Hopefully, an action will be taken soon against the culprits and theaters will face no problem in showing the movie.
