Bollywood star Aamir Khan recently opened up about the challenges he faced as a newcomer in the film industry, particularly his insecurity about his height. Standing at 5’5, Aamir admitted that he initially struggled with an “inferiority complex,” worrying that his height might make it difficult for audiences to accept him.
In a heartfelt conversation with Nana Patekar on Zee Music Company’s YouTube channel, Aamir shared his fears. He said, “I used to feel that people might not accept me because of my height. That was my fear. But over time, I realized these things don’t matter at all. Back then, though, a sense of insecurity did creep in.” Despite being shorter than most Bollywood heroes, Aamir was anxious about being rejected because of this.
Nana Patekar reassured him with a light-hearted comment, saying, “Look at my face. With this face, I’ve been working for 50 years.” Aamir Khan reflected on how his perspective changed over time. He explained, “The things that stress us in the beginning eventually seem unimportant. What truly matters is how honestly you work and whether your work can captivate people. Everything else fades away.”
Well said, Aamir Khan.
