Abhishek Bachchan, who recently starred in Be Happy, has opened up about his approach to choosing roles and the kind of films he prefers to work on. Unlike many actors who meticulously evaluate scripts based on various factors, Abhishek shared that his decision-making process is driven by emotion rather than analysis. For him, the connection to a story matters more than anything else.
However, there is one clear deal-breaker—he would never be comfortable doing a sexually explicit film. Abhishek explained that since becoming a father to his 13-year-old daughter, Aaradhya, his perspective on the kind of films he wants to make has shifted. “I want to make films that would be appropriate for both myself and my daughter to watch together,” he said. As a devoted father alongside Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, he wants his filmography to reflect content that resonates with family values and shared viewing experiences.
Abhishek recently reunited with child actor Inayat Verma in Be Happy, following their previous collaboration in the 2020 comedy-drama Ludo. The film, which premiered on Prime Video on March 14, also stars Nora Fatehi, Nassar, Johnny Lever, and Harleen Sethi.
Produced under Remo D’Souza Entertainment Pvt Ltd and backed by Lizelle Remo D’Souza, Be Happy promises a deeply touching narrative about a family’s journey through loss, resilience, and love.
