Actor Karanvir Bohra was recently spotted at the Vishnupad Temple in Gaya, Bihar, where he, along with his father, film producer Mahendra Bohra, performed the sacred ritual of ‘pind daan’ to honor their ancestors. On Tuesday, Karanvir Bohra shared a video of the ceremony on Instagram, along with a heartfelt caption that read:
“Honoring our ancestors with Pind Daan in the sacred land of Gaya. A spiritual journey reconnecting with roots and seeking blessings for the past, present, and future. Grateful for this profound experience that reminds us of our heritage. Om namah shivaya🔱.”
Pind daan is a significant Hindu ritual performed by relatives to pay homage to their deceased loved ones. In Gaya, it is traditionally carried out at three sacred sites: the Phalgu River, Vishnupad Temple, and the Akshay Vat tree. The ceremony, which typically takes around two hours, can be completed in one day.
