Adani Group to increase its investment in Bihar by Rs 8,700 crore

Adani Group plans to increase its investment in Bihar by Rs 8,700 crore, focusing on cement manufacturing, logistics, and the agro-industry. The company plans to expand its storage capacity as well as its city gas network.

On Thursday, the Adani Group pledged to invest more in Bihar and enter new areas. The group said it would invest Rs 8,700 crore in Bihar’s cement, logistics, and agro-industry sectors.

Pranav Adani, Managing Director (Agro, Oil and Gas) of Adani Enterprises, told Bihar Business Connect 2023 that the business will invest Rs 8,700 crore in the state, up from Rs 850 crore.

“We will invest in three more areas and create 10,000 direct and indirect jobs. The official said the state will build two massive godowns, one in Patna, the capital. Additionally, Pranav Adani spoke. The Adani Group would invest Rs 1,200 crore to increase godown storage capacity from 1 lakh to 65 lakh square feet.

The Adani Group plans to invest Rs 900 crore in Purnea, Begusarai, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Kishanganj, and Araria to increase storage capacity. In his remarks, Pranav Adani said the group aims to invest Rs 200 crore to extend its Gaya and Nalanda city gas network. FMCG behemoth Adani Wilmar would gain prominence in the east.

Adani also announced Rs 200 crore to improve Gaya and Nalanda city gas distribution. “We will make compressed biogas and EV chargers. This effort will employ around 1,500 state residents. He claimed the Adani Group may bring Adani Wilmar to Bihar.

The business aims to build Rs 2,500 crore cement plants in Warsaliganj and Mahawal. Adani also praised Bihar’s social and development programs.

On Thursday, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched the Bihar Logistics Policy 2023 and a state industries department coffee table book at the summit. This policy seeks “international-standard” infrastructure for industrial and social growth. Kumar did not speak during the ceremony.
