Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi is going to release on 1st May on a digital platform and with this series, Shekhar Suman’s son Adhyayan Suman is going to make a comeback in acting.
Adhyayan Suman made his acting debut with Haal-e-Dil in 2008 but the movie flopped, his second movie Raaz 2 which also starred Emraan Hashmi and Kangana Ranaut was a big hit and with this film, he made his presence felt in Bollywood.
Adhyayan’s success was short-lived and after his third movie Jashnn flopped, he stopped getting work and then he also broke-up with Kangana Ranaut. During a recent interview, Adhyayan Suman talked about his failures and what went wrong, he said, “I had signed 12 films. It would be wrong to lie, because somewhere I had started to feel cool. There was this over confidence that I had arrived. A newspaper had published its top five list, and it had Ranbir Kapoor, Imran Khan and then my name. So, I thought this is it, maza aa raha hai life mein. But the way life took a U-Turn after that, things changed.”
He further added, “The film (Jashnn) didn’t get a good release, though it was a beautiful film. But it didn’t work. I was acclaimed as an actor, but all the films were scrapped… I thought there are so many actors of my generation who are doing bad films, giving flop films but continue to do movies. Here I was, with one hit and one flop, phir bhi saara kaam bandh hogaya. Some years were spent thinking why is this happening to me. I realised it is best to look forward in life than mull or what or why something happened, how do I fight this.”
Shekhar Suman has also acted in Heeramandi and when Adhyayan was asked about his experience of working with his father, he said, “It has always been my dream to work with my father. And I do share one scene with him in the show. It’s a very interesting scene. I can’t reveal anything beyond this. But yes, it was very exciting to act with my father.”
Are you looking forward to Heeramandi?
