Deepfake videos have certainly increased concerns of the government and law-enforcing authorities as far as the security of women is concerned. Earlier we saw deepfake videos of Bollywood actresses Rashmika Mandanna, Katrina Kaif and Kajol and now a deepfake video of Alia Bhatt is going viral.
In this deepfake video, the face of Alia Bhatt has been morphed over the body of another woman who is dressed in blue floral, strapy co-ord and is making gestures towards the camera while sitting on the bed.
The concerns are so alarming that the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also talked about it and requested mediapersons to educate people about these deepfake videos. He also added that he saw a deepfake video of himself in which he is singing in a Garba festival, something which he hasn’t done since his school days.
Artificial Intelligence is certainly the future of the world but with the benefits, this technology also comes with disadvantages and things can be disastrous if the victim is not a celeb.
