The rising entourage cost of actors has become a serious concern for producers as it is increasing the cost of the movie to such an extent that it is difficult to recover for the producer.
Ahan Shetty, son of popular actor Suniel Shetty, is currently shooting for his next movie, Sanki but the producer Sajid Nadiadwala got so upset with his entourage cost that he threatened to shelve Sanki. As per the reports, Suniel Shetty requested Sajid to give second chance to his son as his debut movie, Tadap didn’t perform well at the box-office and Sajid obliged too but now he is losing his temper over high entourage cost of Ahan.
A source revealed, “Sajid is having second thoughts about the film. The current market is not where it used to be from the satellite and digital point of view. Although Sajid managed to sell digital rights thanks to his bulk deal with Amazon Prime Video, he is not getting the kind of money he was hoping – either for the film’s satellite or digital rights. But that is not what broke the camel’s back.”
The source further said, “It was when Sajid saw his leading man’s entourage costs that he lost his patience. Ahan’s staff costs – (hair, make-up, spot, stylist, driver, chef, trainer etc.), which were billed to production, were so high that Sajid threatened to pull the plug on the film, adding that it made no business sense to produce this project.”
As per the reports, Suniel Shetty had intervened and he has not only requested Sajid to not shelve the movie but he has also offered to help financially.
Let’s see what will happen to Sanki.
