Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty, is drawing significant attention at the box office with remarkable earnings. The film, part of Shetty’s popular cop universe, has resonated with audiences, strengthening its success and showcasing Devgn in one of his most iconic roles—Bajirao Singham.
Reflecting on Singham Again’s success, Ajay Devgn credited the original Singham and Gangaajal as pioneers in portraying police officers in a positive light. He acknowledged that these films marked a shift in Bollywood’s depiction of law enforcement, moving away from traditionally negative portrayals. “I am thankful to the audience for giving us so much love. For a long time, the police were always shown in a negative light in films. Singham and Gangaajal were some of the first films that showed how an ideal police officer should be. After that, it became a trend of making positive films about police,” he shared.
Ajay Devgn also highlighted Arjun Kapoor’s impactful role in Singham Again, commending the actor for his performance and noting that Kapoor is finally receiving the recognition he has long deserved
Devgn added, “We all are really happy. Finally, Arjun is getting his due as an actor. Pehle kaafi log kuch ulta seedha bol rahe the (Earlier, many people passed useless and negative comments against him), but (Arjun, with his performance, has proved all of them wrong). He proved himself again…For Arjun, the success of Singham Again has come at the right point.”
