When a bomb threat was received on Saturday, there was chaos at Jaipur International Airport. The security service was notified right away. The whole airport facility was then thoroughly searched. However, nothing strange was discovered. Security agents exhaled with satisfaction after two hours of searching since nothing untoward was discovered on the airport property.
Based on the evidence obtained, a threat was delivered on Saturday via email from an ID called Don of India on the official Jaipur Airport ID. Following this, a search was carried out by the BDS squad (Bomb Disposal Squad) and airport security officials.
A complaint has also been given to the airport police station by the airport administration in this matter. Along with the alert from security agencies, the cyber team has also started investigation.
Regarding the threat, Airport SHO Mamta Meena said that at around 11:29 in the morning, the police was informed about receiving a mail threatening to blow up the airport. An unknown person has sent a threatening mail on the official e-mail of Jaipur International Airport. In the mail, a threat has been given to blow up the landscape area of Jaipur Airport with bombs.
The search operation lasted for 2 hours. After this threat, a search operation was conducted at the airport by BDS, CISF and Dog Squad team. In the search operation that lasted for about 2 hours, no suspicious thing was found in the airport premises.
