Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is all set to release on 28th July 2023 even though the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) demanded some changes in the movie as the makers have made those changes in short time in order to ensure smooth release of the film.
The censor board demanded few cuts and changes including the dialogue, “Khela Hobe” which was said in a lingerie shop as it was found disrespectful because earlier it has been used by Mamta Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal for political purposes. Now the word “bra” has been replaced by item and the name of the famous rum Old Monk has been changed to Bold Monk.
The actress Alia Bhatt has also reacted to this matter and said, “I think we should let everybody watch the film and not talk about what’s been cut. The final cut of the film is seamlessly flowing regardless of these minor cuts.”
The movie is directed by Karan Johar and it also stars some veteran actors such as Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. In the film, Alia Bhatt plays the character of a well-educated and sophisticated Bengali girl while Ranveer Singh is a flamboyant Punjabi boy from Delhi.
