All you need to know about WhatsApp’s new locked chats feature for linked devices

Instant messaging service WhatsApp has always placed a high priority on user privacy and has been steadily adding tools to support it. According to recent reports, the platform is working to improve secure user conversations, including those that are closed for connected devices.

WhatsApp intends to expand its privacy controls, according to recent claims from WABetaInfo. Prior to this, the platform unveiled locked chats, allowing users to further safeguard conversations on their primary devices with a secret code.

WhatsApp is now working to enable this capability on connected devices as well.

This new feature will further ensure that private discussions stay hidden across all platforms, improving user privacy and convenience. Users will be able to create a secret code on their primary device to access closed chats on the linked devices.

Through the use of restricted chats for connected devices, the instant messaging service hopes to greatly enhance privacy protection. This technique improves security across several platforms by further guaranteeing that unauthorized users cannot access the protected communications.

Apart from improving privacy, WhatsApp is also working on an international payment option. Additionally, the tipster AssembleDebug has given information indicating that Indian consumers will soon be able to make foreign payments using the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) program.

Once upon a time, the international payments feature was introduced to facilitate foreign money transfers for Indian bank account holders. By increasing consumers’ financial flexibility, the feature will be accessible in nations where banks have been running international UPI services.

Users will have to manually activate the foreign payments option and select how long they want it to remain active, according to the information that was released. Users will have even more control over how they choose to pay within the app thanks to this customisation feature.
