Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule is one of the most awaited movies of the year which is slated to release on 15 August 2024 and the movie has already earned quite a good amount even before its release. Pushpa 2: The Rule is directed by Sukumar and it also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in important roles.
Earlier, there were reports that distributor Anil Thadani has acquired the North India Distribution rights for a whopping amount of Rs. 200 crore and now there are reports which suggest that the digital rights of the movie have been sold to digital platform, Netflix at the exorbitant base price of Rs. 250 crore and it may extend upto Rs. 300 crore.
Pushpa 2 has broken the record of SS Rajamouli directed RRR as its digital rights were sold for Rs. 170 crore.
A source revealed, “It’s a record deal for all languages, surpassing the previous best by a margin of approx. Rs 100 crore. Pushpa 2 is among the genuinely awaited Pan India films after Bahubali 2 and KGF 2, and all the stakeholders are confident to spike excitement on their respective platforms for the content.”
The source further said, “The newer ways of dealing is to set a base price and then hike it linked to box office returns. The base price for the Allu Arjun film is Rs 250 crore, with kickers extending up to Rs 300 crore.”
