Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has officially kickstarted preparations for the upcoming season of the popular reality quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). Sharing a series of rehearsal photos on his blog, the veteran actor captioned it simply: “Shuru kardiya kaam.”
In a heartfelt note, he wrote, “And the prep begins the beguine… to be back to the people… to be with them in their desires to improve life and living… the opportunity that changes lives… in an hour… my love and regard.”
“Kaun Banega Crorepati” the Indian adaptation of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, has long been a household favorite. The show challenges contestants with multiple-choice questions, providing lifelines for assistance, all with the goal of transforming lives.
Amitabh Bachchan has been the face of KBC since its inception, except for Season 3, when Shah Rukh Khan briefly hosted. With his iconic presence and deep connection with the audience, Big B’s return each season is highly anticipated.
Amid recent rumors suggesting that he might step away from KBC, the actor’s public updates have effectively put those speculations to rest.
On a personal note, Bachchan also took to social media on July 6 to express deep appreciation for his son, Abhishek Bachchan. Posting a photo, he wrote, “My pride and my unlimited love… how beautifully on your terms you are achieving your well-deserved praise and recognition… Kaaldhar may be missing, but Abhishek is never missing from our hearts.”
In other news, Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic film Sholay was recently honored at the II Cinema Ritrovato Festival in Italy, celebrating its 50th anniversary. An uncut version of the legendary film was screened for a global audience. The movie, written by Salim–Javed, starred Amitabh alongside Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Jaya Bachchan, Sanjeev Kumar, and Amjad Khan, and remains one of the greatest classics in Indian cinema.
