On Tuesday at 4:33 a.m., an earthquake with a Richter rating of 4.5 shook Leh and Ladakh, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).
Using micro-blogging site X, the NCS reported that the earthquakes originated in 34.73 latitudes and 77.07 longitudes, with the epicenter located at a depth of 5 kilometers.
Additionally, the agency said that an earthquake with a Richter scale of 3.7 struck the neighboring Jammu and Kashmir regions of Kishtwar. The Kishtwar earthquake happened at a depth of five kilometers at about 1.10 am, according to the NCS. As of yet, there have been no reports of casualties or property losses from the steep areas.
