One of Bollywood’s most harsh and passionate performers, Anupam Kher doesn’t hesitate to speak out on social and political concerns. The actor has never joined a political party, despite the fact that his wife, Kirron Kher, is a politician and a Lok Sabha member.
Anupam recently described himself as “India-centric” and claimed that many saw his speaking his thoughts while citing Dev Anand Sahab and his brother, Vijay Anand Sahab, as supporting a specific ideology as a political problem.
Anupam is one of the most well-known performers from earlier times who is currently producing noteworthy Hindi film work. In the 2022 movie “The Kashmir Files,” starring Vivek Agnihotri, he portrayed the pivotal part of a Kashmiri Pandit titled “Pushkar Nath Pandit” and received praise from critics.
Anupam Kher remarked, “Whenever there’s an issue happening and if I speak my mind out, people think it’s a political issue,” in a podcast interview with Smita Prakash for ANI. I am an Indian by ideology, hence my primary interest is India. Now, if the current administration thinks more about India, then I can automatically identify with them. But I would have joined a political party if I had wanted to.”
Anupam Kher emphasized that India is where he has the most interest and declared, “I am India-centric”. It is their issue if people want to equate that with politics. In fact, he explained why performers no longer discuss politics openly, saying, “I suppose celebrities have a fan following, people base.”
It is susceptible to misunderstanding in today’s world. It is susceptible to problems. Dev Anand Sahab and Vijay Anand Sahab belonged to a certain group of individuals who embraced a specific philosophy. They spoke out and “worked side by side,” or saath me kaam hota rehta tha.
Along with these topics, the actor from “The Kashmir Files” spoke about his long career in show business, his marriage to Kirron Kher, and how he stays fit and healthy at his advanced age.
