In a surprising development, actress Alisha Praveen has been removed from the popular TV show Anupamaa. Alisha, who played the role of Rupali Ganguly’s stepdaughter, revealed that she was replaced without any prior notice or explanation. The actress expressed her shock and disappointment over the unexpected decision.
In an interview, Alisha shared, “It’s shocking and disappointing. I don’t know why I’m being replaced. Today was my last day on the set of Anupamaa. It was a great opportunity, and everyone loved my chemistry with Shivam Khajuria. But I have no idea why this happened suddenly.”
Alisha added that she was informed about the decision during a meeting and is still unsure about the reason behind her exit. “Sometimes, these things happen in the industry. I will now focus on my future projects,” she said.
The show’s producer, Rajan Shahi, has not commented on Alisha’s replacement yet.
Interestingly, this is not the first time a cast member has been removed from Anupamaa. Earlier, Paras Kalnawat, who played Samar Shah, was also ousted from the show in July 2022. His contract was terminated after he reportedly joined the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 10 without informing the production team.
