Anushka Sharma made a rare public appearance in Mumbai on Wednesday, attending a brand event. The actress was seen at Slurrp Farm’s YES Moms & Dads event, where she spoke openly about her experiences as a parent.
During the event, Anushka shared insights into navigating the challenges of parenting alongside her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli. She discussed the pressures that come with being expected to be “perfect” parents and emphasized the importance of managing expectations.
Anushka provided candid thoughts on raising their children, Vamika and Akaay, while maintaining a high-profile public life. Her perspective resonated with many attendees, offering a glimpse into her personal approach to parenthood.
She said, “There is so much pressure to be this perfect parent. But we’re not perfect, and that’s okay. We’ll complain about things, and it’s fine to admit it in front of our kids, so they know we’re flawed.”
She also talked about the changes that have come in her lifestyle due to parenthood, she said, “I can only hang out with people who do the same, and that’s very few. People invite us to dinner, and I’m like… you’re probably eating a snack at the time we eat dinner.”
