The Pakistani cricket team may have managed to stop their losing streak in the ongoing ICC ODI World Cup 2023 by defeating Bangladesh in the match which was played yesterday at Eden Garden, Kolkata but back home in their country, the former cricketers are leaving no stone unturned in slamming PCB and its chief Zaka Ashraf.
It all started after a Pakistani channel released the screenshot of Babar Azam’s personal WhatsApp chat which he had with PCB COO Salman Naseer. The uproar was so huge that the Pakistani anchor Waseem Badami had to apologise and he also gave a statement which has shocked the cricket fraternity and cricket lovers of Pakistan.
Waseem Badami revealed that initially he and his team chose not to air the WhatsApp chat of Babar Azam but then he got a message from the PCB chief Zaka Ashraf in which he not only sent the screenshot but he also told Badami to show the screenshot on his channel.
The former Pak cricketer Shahid Afridi was also very upset with Zaka Ashraf and he said, “Zaka Ashraf Sahab is the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board and not just of any random club. He needs to look after several things. I feel very strange when I get to know that he has been making phone calls to media houses and speaking about who all are speaking about him. Oh Khuda ke liye… aap chairman ho, aap deliver karo, aap kaam karo (For God’s sake, stop these and behave like a cricket board’s chairman).”
He further added, “People are speaking about you because you have allowed them to speak about you. You focus on your work. The team is playing World Cup and you are passing statements. Please focus on your job, we are cricketers and have hopes for you. Mauka aap kud de rahe hain, Apne kaam se kaam rakhein, Zaka Ashraf Sahab.”

Do you think Shahid Afridi is right?
