The business reality show, Shark Tank India 3 is making headlines for various reasons and recently it was in news for the banter between Amit Jain (CEO & co-founder of CarDekho) and Aman Gupta (co-founder of Boat).
In the latest episode, business owners Shreya Bansal and Prateek Kedia introduced their yoga mats to the sharks and claimed that their mats are not just eco-friendly but pocket-friendly as well.
Talking about his brand, Prateek said, “Humein jitni marketing mile utna kam hai. The more we market the sooner our product scales. We are self-taught, and we don’t have any mentor to guide us so we would want to learn from you all and understand your secret sauce to success. We had decided that till we don’t cross Rs 1cr revenue per month, we won’t bring in any external party. So after doing the gross, this is the first time we are talking to any investor formally for funding.”
They asked for Rs. 60 lakh of investment in return of 2 percent of equity and all the sharks were impressed with them and their products. While the two sharks – Anupam Mittal and Namita Thapar made their offers, Amit Jain started asking some questions and after Aman Gupta interrupted, they both had a little banter.
Here are the excerpts from their interaction:
Aman Gupta: “There is no need for technology here”.
Amit Jain: “Jisko samajh mein nahi aati technology woh aise hi bolte hai.” (Those who don’t understand technology, they talk like this only)
Aman Gupta: “I have a good tech brand bros.”
Amit Jain: “We wonder how, apni boat pe break lagao.”
Well such banters make the show more interesting otherwise it would have been boring, agree?
