Television actress Aditi Sharma, best known for her role in Apollena, is heading for a divorce merely six months after secretly tying the knot with longtime partner Abhineet Kaushik. The revelation came to light when Abhineet, along with his legal counsel Rakesh Shetty, publicly disclosed details of their marriage and the tumultuous events that followed.
Reports from a news portal confirm that Aditi and Abhineet exchanged vows on November 12, 2024, in a private ceremony at their residence in Goregaon. Abhineet shared that the secrecy surrounding their marriage was at Aditi’s insistence, citing concerns about its potential impact on her acting career. “She was after me to get married for the past one and a half years, but I wasn’t ready. After much persuasion, I agreed. However, she insisted that no one could know because marriage was a taboo in the industry,” he stated.
Their marriage was legally validated by Shetty, who also produced photographic evidence of the ceremony. He further disclosed that the couple had been in a live-in relationship for years before formalizing their commitment and had moved into a rented 5BHK apartment together six months prior.
However, cracks in their relationship began to surface when Abhineet accused Aditi of developing a close bond with her Apollena co-star, Samarthya. He claimed that the show’s producer, Karishma, was also aware of the growing intimacy. The situation escalated when Abhineet allegedly caught Aditi and Samarthya together, leading to a heated confrontation. “She had just started shooting for the show. Even the producer, Karishma, was aware of it. Abhineet caught Aditi and Samarthya together, which led to an ugly confrontation,” Shetty remarked.
Further complicating the matter, Abhineet claimed that when confronted, Aditi denied the legitimacy of their marriage. “She told us it was just a ‘mock trial’ and not legally binding,” he alleged.
As tensions mounted, legal interventions became inevitable, with multiple complaints being lodged. Abhineet and his legal team accused Aditi’s family of demanding ₹25 lakh for a settlement. “They insisted on a divorce and, during a lawyer-arranged meeting, Aditi’s side demanded ₹25 lakh. Things took a violent turn when her father slapped Abhineet, and Aditi got hurt in the scuffle,” Shetty alleged.
