A couple involved in a car accident had minimal injuries due to Apple’s Crash Detection feature on iPhone 14 and later. The pair survived with only a few fractures after the feature informed emergency responders…
According to media reports, Apple’s Crash Detection function, launched with the iPhone 14, saved a couple in a BMW accident.
According to 9to5Mac, a BMW E90 driver unexpectedly stopped in front of a BMW E92 around a turn, causing significant damage to both vehicles.
Since Apple’s Crash Detection system responded quickly, the couple escaped the crash with only minor injuries.
One passenger wrote on Reddit, “My first car wreck as a passenger shocked medics with only a few fractures. Thank you to Apple SOS for phoning 911 when I couldn’t and alerting my emergency contacts.”
Apple’s Crash Detection works with the iPhone 14, Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch SE (2nd generation), and Apple Watch Ultra.
The Crash Detection technology has shown its worth before. After a collision in August, the function quickly alerted first responders to help a badly injured driver. The incident occurred on August 5 in Ontario’s Grey Highlands along Road 130 southwest of Highway 10. According to AppleInsider, Hannah Ralph, the driver, was gravely injured, and her iPhone, which has the Crash Detection feature, called emergency responders and her emergency contacts, including her friend Grace Workman-Porecki.
Conclusion
In a recent BMW E90-BMW E92 crash, Apple’s iPhone 14 Crash Detection function was crucial. The couple survived the accident with minor injuries, but both automobiles were heavily damaged. Apple’s Crash Detection system’s compatibility with the iPhone 14, Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch SE (2nd generation), and Apple Watch Ultra or later allowed it to respond quickly. The Crash Detection feature on an Ontario driver’s iPhone alerted her of a serious accident.
