Apple to sell more devices in India; will launch three more outlets

Apple is expanding its retail presence in India, with two new stores in Mumbai and New Delhi, and a fourth in New Delhi’s DLF Promenade Mall in 2026. The first two stores have been huge successes, with over Rs 10 crore in sales.

According to reports, Apple has plans to establish three new Apple Stores in India as part of an expansion of its retail presence there. This follows the successful opening of their first official outlets earlier this year in Mumbai and New Delhi. The choice by Apple to increase its retail presence in India is a component of the company’s worldwide strategy to strengthen its brand recognition in emerging areas while increasing the consumer experience in the US and Europe.

Apple will open two new stores in the near future, one in each of Mumbai and New Delhi, according to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. A fourth official shop is anticipated to open in New Delhi’s DLF Promenade Mall in 2026, after the third official store opens in Mumbai’s Borivali in 2025. According to the report, the Apple Store at the DLF Promenade Mall may surpass Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex as the second-largest Apple Store in India.

Apple presently has over 520 shops in 26 countries, and these locations are essential for new product introductions, customer service, and educational sessions.

According to sources, the corporation has also been concentrating on growing its manufacturing operations in India. To this end, it has partnered with the Tata Group to domestically build and sell the iPhone 15 series.

Additionally, the first two Apple stores in India have been a huge success, with each location quickly producing billings between Rs 22 and Rs 25 crore. On its first day of business, the Apple Store in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex alone generated more than Rs 10 crore in sales, surpassing the monthly sales of the biggest local electronics retailers.

More than 6,000 people came into the BKC shop on inauguration day, and a comparable number came into the smaller Saket store in New Delhi, demonstrating the enthusiasm.
