Elections for the third phase of the 2024 Indian elections started at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7. In Murshidabad, West Bengal, singer Arijit Singh was also spotted going to the polls with his spouse, Koel Roy.
In the widely shared video, Arijit, who is from Jiaganj in Bengal’s Murshidabad district, is seen riding a scooter alongside Koel. Notably, when they approached the polling station, the singer could be seen riding without a helmet.
Tuesday afternoon, the musician went to Pritam Singh Primary School in Murshidabad to cast his ballot. His wife was dressed in a lilac salwar suit, while he was seen wearing a blue T-shirt and navy blue trousers.
Arijit, meanwhile, came under fire from online users after he used a nail clipper to cut his nails while performing in Dubai. Numerous users blasted the musician for his “unprofessional” approach and labelled the encounter as “disrespectful.”
Regarding career, the last song Arijit recorded was Vida Karo from Imtiaz Ali’s Amar Singh Chamkila, which had Parineeti Chopra and Diljit Dosanjh in the key roles.
