Arjun Bijlani, the actor recently shared personal stories about his close relationships with the late actors Sushant Singh Rajput and Sidharth Shukla on Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s podcast.
Arjun Bijlani, an actor known for his roles in Indian television, opened up about the emotional impact Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden demise had on him. He revealed that they were not just neighbors but close friends who shared many memories. “I remember when Sushant passed away, I cried so much because we used to live in the same building. We partied together frequently and would visit each other’s houses,” Arjun reminisced.
Arjun shared that he keeps a tangible memory of Sushant with him—a T-shirt they had exchanged. “I still have Sushant’s orange baniyan (vest) with me, which we swapped,” he said, indicating how deeply their friendship was rooted in simple, personal exchanges.
Reflecting on their bond, Arjun recalled the day Sushant bought a new sports bike and invited him for a ride, a moment he cherishes even today by seeing a photograph from that day. He mentioned that he and his wife, Neha Swami, often think of Sushant with fondness, especially when listening to songs from Sushant’s films. Arjun highlighted that “Namo Namo” is one of his favorite tracks, which he plays to remember the good times with his late friend.
During the same conversation, Arjun also spoke about his long-standing friendship with Sidharth Shukla, another actor who passed away unexpectedly. Arjun and Sidharth’s friendship began during their modeling days, with both being part of the same social group. “We were very good friends. I’ve known him since he lived in Mumbai Central and I was in Mahim,” Arjun shared.
Recalling their last encounter, Arjun mentioned how they met at a chemist’s shop and ended up talking for half an hour, reminiscing about old times. Tragically, just a month after that meeting, Arjun received the heartbreaking news of Sidharth’s passing.
These two actors certainly went too early.
