Recently, a Reddit user narrated a horrific incident that happened with his friend who was beaten and robbed by an autorickshaw driver during the night hours. The Reddit user narrated the whole incident as he told that his friend made a mistake of boarding a random auto at night from Silk Board to Ulsoor.
He further wrote that at around 10 pm when they were passing from Domlur on the Ring Road, there was an isolated area on the military road where the autorickshaw driver stopped the auto saying that he had to pee. The Reddit user’s friend also thought of peeing at that time but then the auto driver pushed his friend and started thrashing him. The auto driver threatened to hit him with stones because of which the friend got very scared and begged him to take whatever he wanted and leave him.
Somehow the friend managed to scuffle and run away; while it was completely dark, things turned worse for him as it started raining heavily.
The friend asked for help from the people on the road and finally one person helped him in reaching home after which he contacted his friends who were already very worried for him.

A police complaint has been filed in this regard but we should also take precautions such as book Ola or Uber or even if you take a random auto then click the pic of the number plate and send it to your friends or family, letting them know that you are travelling with this auto.
