Leading opposition figures have received invitations to the Ram Temple’s inauguration event, which is set for January 22 in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
The newly constructed Ram Temple will be inaugurated next month, and senior Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh, Mallikarjun Kharge, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, and JD(S) supremo Devegowda have all received invitations from the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, according to Working President Alok Kumar of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP).
The leaders of Congress, however, are not expected to attend, according to the news agency.
A variety of personalities have been invited to the dedication of the new Ram Lalla idol in the freshly built temple’s sanctum sanctorum. In the upcoming days, more invitations are probably going to be extended to additional opposition figures.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath are slated to attend the event, but preparations are now underway and should be finished by January 15. January 16 is the start day of the Praan Pratistha Puja, and it ends on January 22. The week-long celebration for the dedication ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya will begin on January 17 with a parade of tableaux depicting incidents from the life of Lord Rama, accompanied by 100 statues of the god.
The main sculptor working on the tableaux, Ranjit Mandal, stated that the parade will have sculptures and images that portray the life of Lord Rama from birth to exile, the victory over Lanka, and his return to Ayodhya.
The week-long ceremonies for the consecration ceremony will formally begin with the parade. Additionally, work is underway to have the renovated Ayodhya railway station operational by January 15. According to sources, a portion of the new station building will be equipped to manage the massive influx of people anticipated in the city for the inauguration and even beyond. This includes enhanced pilgrim-holding rooms that come with artwork and exhibits related to Lord Ram.
