Social media can be unpredictable and unforgiving. One moment, you’re celebrated; the next, you’re subjected to harsh criticism. Babar Azam, Pakistan cricket’s star player, is currently experiencing this reality. His extended struggle with form across all formats over the past year has led to a surge in trolls, derogatory memes, uncomfortable nicknames, and now even fake retirement posts.
After another disappointing performance against Bangladesh in the second Test match in Rawalpindi, where Babar managed scores of just 31 and 11, social media platform X was flooded with fake retirement posts.
The first of these posts appeared on Monday afternoon, crafted in a manner so convincing that even the most dedicated cricket fans could be misled at first glance.

As far as the second test match is concerned, by the end of session 1, Bangladesh’s score is 122/2 and it needs 63 runs to win the test match and the series as well.
