For the first time, popular singer-rapper Badshah has spoken about his separation from his former wife, Jasmine Masih. The couple, who share a daughter named Jessemy Grace Masih Singh, parted ways in 2020. During a podcast, Badshah discussed the reasons behind their split, revealing that their marriage was no longer healthy for their child.
Badshah explained that both he and Jasmine made significant efforts to make their relationship work, but they ultimately decided to part ways for the well-being of their daughter. “We both tried everything. We tried our best and gave everything that we had. We separated because it was not healthy for our child,” he shared, adding that while he does get to meet his daughter, he cannot do so frequently as she lives in London.
Speaking about his bond with his daughter, Badshah humorously revealed that she is not a fan of his music, preferring the K-pop band Blackpink instead. “She was at my concert. My daddy is cool. He’s very cool. But she’s not a fan. She listens to Blackpink,” he said. He also mentioned that, as a musician, buying another musician’s merchandise for his child is “a little painful.”
Badshah is currently rumored to be dating actress Isha Rikhi. In 2023, reports suggested that the two were planning to get married but the singer swiftly shut down those claims, calling them false.
