Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar starrer “Bala” which dealt with the issue of baldness was a blockbuster and not just the acting performances of the lead actors but also its subject was praised by audiences. A serious issue was presented with light-hearted humour in the movie and it was an attempt to motivate bald people to accept their baldness openly without any shame or embarrassment. In the flick, Ayushmann hides his baldness from Yami before marriage and when she gets to know about it after the wedding, she leaves his house and files a divorce case against him.
A similar sort of incident has taken place in Bihar’s Gaya district where a groom was beaten by the bride’s family after they came to know about his baldness during the wedding ceremony. In the video which has gone viral, the bride’s family can be heard abusing the groom who is seen begging with folded hands; however, they didn’t show mercy and kept on thrashing him.

The groom belongs to Iqbalpur, Gaya, and he came to Bajaura village for the purpose of second marriage. He made an attempt of hiding his baldness with a wig under his ‘Sehra’ but the plan didn’t work. As the family members of the bride got to realize it, they began to pull his hair and despite repeated requests and apologies, they didn’t leave him.
