Before Ram Temple Opening, Cong Leader Warns Of Godhra-Like Riots, BJP Wants Him Arrested

The inauguration of Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya is going to take place on 22 January 2024 and the ceremony will be attended by a huge number of devotees along with the VIPs.

However, Congress MLC from Karnataka, BK Hariprasad has created a controversy by saying that many people from Karnataka will also go by trains for celebrating the occasion and they should be provided good security as there are chances of Godhra type incident taking place.

The Congress leader stated, “There is a possibility of ‘Godhra-like incident’ in Karnataka in the run up to the consecration ceremony of Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22. The Karnataka government should be alert because in Gujarat during the same occasion, the Kar Sevaks were set on fire at Godhra.

He further added, “2002 Godhra train burning case had plunged Gujarat into one of the worst communal riots. So, no room should be given for any untoward incident to happen in Karnataka. All the arrangements should be made for those willing to go to Ayodhya so that we should not see another Godhra happening in Karnataka.”

Now BJP has demanded the arrest of BK Hariprasad for inciting hatred and destroying the social fabric of the state. What do you think of the statement given by the Congress leader? Let us know.
